Students from South San Francisco Unified School District (SSFUSD) took home 33 out of 39 scholarship awards at the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce’s scholarship luncheon event on April 20, 2023.

Since 2002, the chamber of commerce has raised money among its members for scholarships to help fund the studies of prospective college or university students residing in South San Francisco.

Applicants who submit an application are selected by the chamber’s education scholarship committee to receive different scholarships offered by the member businesses.

Individual scholarship amounts are determined by each business and range from $1,000 and up.

The winners are then announced at an annual luncheon that brings together scholarship recipients from SSFUSD and other nearby high schools to recognize and celebrate their academic achievements.
